Quest Q35 Metal Detector – 3 Selectable Frequencies
The Quest Q35 Metal Detector is a versatile and easy-to-use detector designed for beginners, hobby detectorists and experienced users searching for coins, jewelry, relics, gold and other metallic targets.
With three selectable operating frequencies of 5, 13 and 21 kHz, four dedicated search modes and a waterproof construction up to 5 meters, the Q35 can be adapted to a wide range of detecting environments, from parks and fields to beaches and underwater searches. International Detector Center
The Quest Q35 allows the user to select between 5, 13 and 21 kHz depending on the search conditions and target type.
5 kHz is suitable for larger and higher-conductive targets, while 13 kHz provides a versatile setting for general-purpose detecting and coin hunting. The higher 21 kHz frequency provides increased sensitivity to smaller targets and is particularly useful when searching for small jewelry and gold nuggets.
This flexibility allows the Q35 to be configured for different detecting applications without requiring a separate detector. International Detector Center
The Q35 features four dedicated search modes:
- Park
- Field
- Beach
- Gold
Each mode provides a suitable starting configuration for its intended search environment, allowing the detector to be quickly adapted to different types of terrain and targets. International Detector Center
The Quest Q35 is fully waterproof up to 5 meters, allowing it to be used on land, in shallow water and underwater.
Its waterproof construction makes the detector particularly versatile for detecting on freshwater and saltwater beaches as well as in changing weather conditions. International Detector Center
The Q35 is equipped with a waterproof Raptor11 DD search coil measuring approximately 28 × 26 cm (11 × 10 inches).
The coil provides a practical balance between ground coverage, target separation and sensitivity, making it suitable for general-purpose detecting across different environments. International Detector Center
The Quest Q35 provides a Target ID scale from 1 to 99, allowing detected targets to be evaluated according to their conductivity response.
The detector also provides 25 discrimination segments, a 25-segment notch filter and adjustable iron-related settings, helping the user decide which target responses should be accepted or rejected.
A dedicated Pinpoint function assists with determining the precise location of a detected target before digging. International Detector Center
Different soils can influence detector performance. The Q35 therefore provides both automatic and manual ground balance, allowing the detector to be adapted to different ground conditions.
This is particularly useful when moving between different detecting environments where soil characteristics may change.
With 99 sensitivity levels, the Q35 provides extensive control over detector sensitivity.
Its fast response speed helps distinguish nearby targets, while the adjustable settings allow the detector to be configured according to the search environment and the user's preferences. International Detector Center
The Q35 can identify target responses using 2, 3 or 5 audio tones.
Together with adjustable volume, iron controls, discrimination and the 1–99 Target ID scale, this provides both visual and audio information to help evaluate detected targets.
In addition to visual and audio target indications, the Quest Q35 features a vibration alert.
This provides an additional physical indication when a target is detected and can be particularly useful underwater, in noisy environments or when the user prefers an alternative to audio feedback. International Detector Center
The Q35 features an integrated wireless module and comes with Quest WireFree Lite wireless headphones.
This allows the detector to be used without a headphone cable, providing greater freedom of movement during detecting sessions. International Detector Center
The detector is powered by an integrated 3000 mAh Li-Po rechargeable battery with an operating time of up to approximately 20 hours, depending on operating conditions and settings.
Charging is performed using the supplied magnetic USB charging cable. International Detector Center
The Q35 combines a stable construction with an adjustable three-section shaft.
The shaft can be adjusted from approximately 80 to 130 cm, making the detector easy to adapt to different users and compact for transportation and storage.
The detector weighs approximately 1.4 kg, including the search coil. International Detector Center
